What is the border regions peer exchange?
This is a European Commission initiative that connects b-solutions cases with Interreg programme stakeholders facing similar cross-border obstacles.
01
10 b-solutions case hosts will each organise a 2–3 day visit for Interreg programme stakeholders. Visitors come from programmes dealing with comparable border obstacles and learn directly from implemented solutions in the field.
02
To demonstrate the tangible impact of cross-border cooperation by showcasing success stories with real benefits, and to strengthen the link between b-solutions and Interreg's specific objective of better cooperation governance.
03
Each visit involves a host organisation (b-solutions case) and up to 5 financially supported visitors — plus up to 5 non-supported visitors — from Interreg programmes. Each host organises a maximum of 1 visit.
04
A final publication — co-authored from all 10 host reports — will analyse synergies between b- solutions and Interreg and serve as a practical guide for other cross- border cooperation programmes across Europe.

Who can be a host?
This call is addressed exclusively to organisations directly involved in b-solutions cases — the advised entities that proposed solutions to real cross-border obstacles across EU internal borders.
To be eligible, your organisation must be one of the following:
The entity identified as the advised entity in any of the b-solutions case compendia (any call, from 2018 onwards)
A stakeholder directly involved in the implementation of a b-solutions case
An entity involved in the follow-up of an implemented b-solutions case
Host cases do not need to be complete successes.
Cases at any stage of implementation are welcomed — including those where the solution is partially implemented, where obstacles remain, or where the approach has evolved since the initial b-solutions advice.
